Corporate Job Bank is searching for a qualified Aerospace Tool Maker/Machinist!


Location: 43rd Ave and Indian School
Pay: $21-$35/hour DOE
Schedule & Hours: Monday through Friday, 6: 00AM -2: 30PM.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop equipment and machine tools.
  • Uses full range of precision measuring and gauging tooling to perform inspection before start of job.
  • Performs repair, rebuilding or overhaul work of manufacturing or service dies and tooling from blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, written or verbal instructions.
  • Frequently work with other trade persons such as maintenance technicians, fabricators and engineers.
  • Make repair parts if not commercially available.
  • Plans setup and operates typical machine shop tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications. Uses typical machinists hand tools.
  • Requisitions parts and materials needed.
  • Assure capable tooling is available on time for production.
  • Support production on tooling related problems in a timely fashion
  • Ensure necessary work is performed on production tooling based upon information obtained from production runs.
  • Identify problems and recommend improvements to tooling to Engineering.


Experience and Education:
  • Prefer a minimum 10 years experience in a tool room, some of which should be in aerospace.
  • Journeyman Toolmaker through qualified apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with EDM, CNC Lathes/HMC/VMC a plus.
  • Manual machines required and necessary (manual lathes, bridge ports, etc).
  • Ability to analyze and work from blueprints and customer drawings.
  • Knowledge of CAD a plus.
  • Complete set of personal tools required.


Qualifications/Skills:
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic, or caustic chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Minimum vision requirements; near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes with or without glasses.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small delicate parts and hand held standard measuring equipment at the same time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to drive and operate a Forklift.
